Beautiful, durable and workable, Incense Cedar is highly rated in a majority of physical properties, including checking, weathering, warping, paint holding, and insulation value. But it is most known for its dimensional stability. Incense Cedar expands and contracts very little with changes in moisture and temperature, and has low shrinkage.
Use it inside the home Incense Cedar is warm and naturally aromatic, and with its fine, uniform texture, it is perfect for interiors. We offer paneling in the traditional knotty style, and in a variety of patterns with either rough or smooth surfaces. You can install it vertically, horizontally or diagonally, rough or smooth side out. This gives you countless design options. Or use it on the exterior The incredible dimensional stability, durability and insulation value of Incense Cedar also make it a superior exterior siding material. It stains beautifully, and if left to weather, turns to a lasting shade of silver. We offer Incense Cedar siding in a selected tight knot grade, available in either rough or smooth surfaces. Build an Incense Cedar deck Because Incense Cedar is decay-resistant and able to handle high humidity and moisture, it's perfect for landscaping, flower boxes, and especially decking. Our Appearance Plus line of decking is dried to an average of 19% moisture content, at which point most shrinkage has taken place, leaving a dependably stable material. Then, our 16-knife planer assures that our decking is smooth enough for even bare feet. Pecky Landscape Timbers Made from Incense Cedar, pecky wood contains pockets or areas of disintegrated wood caused by advanced stages of localized fungus in the living tree. Once the tree is cut down, this process stops, so there is no further decay to the pecky lumber. This makes it great for adding a touch of creativity to landscaping and garden beds. |
